We’re now two weeks into the 21-Day Blogging Challenge. The more I write, the easier it gets to write each post, which is exactly the point of the challenge. I intentionally included several guest posts in my line-up for challenge, so I think that’s keeping me from hitting writer’s block.
Here are a few more things I learned since writing my Day 7 post:
- Writing out all of my post ideas in advance helped me tremendously. Some people in the challenge are better at writing off-the-cuff, but I’m a planner, and listing more than 21 ideas for my posts has been a life-saver. I very highly recommend doing this if you do the 14-Day Blogging Challenge.
- Featured images are important. For my blog, they show up at the top of each post (theme-dependent). If your blog is configured properly, they also appear as the thumbnail when you share your posts on social media. I licensed many of my featured images from Adobe Stock.
- Telling everyone I’m doing a blogging challenge has been helpful. It keeps me accountable! Even people who aren’t doing the challenge are encouraging me.
I will write one more post about the challenge on June 4, when the 21-day challenge is over. That also happens to be Day 4 of the 14-day challenge I’m starting on Monday. Moving forward I’m doing a 14-day challenge every month, starting on the 1st. Who’s in with me?
