Chrissy Rey: President & Founder
Chrissy has been working with the web since 1995. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Maryland in College Park, and spent some time working as a zookeeper and animal technician before she gave up animal wrangling for programming. Concentrating on Adobe Flash and web application development, Chrissy loves to teach what she knows. She has written, contributed to, and tech edited numerous technical books and courses, while continuing to hone her skills by developing award-winning web applications. Chrissy is also currently acting director of the College Park Neighborhood Business Alliance.
Kelly Hansen: Vice President of Client Services
She is too busy working with clients to write her bio, but she loves her clients and is terribly concerned that she loves WordPress a little too much.
Michael Dance: Vice President of Technology
Michael earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Screenwriting from New York University and worked for some time as a movie critic before finding his way to web development in 2006. Skilled in XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and more, he’s happiest when he’s validating code or learning a new CMS. Michael is a WordPress specialist, and spends much of his time at work convincing the popular open source CMS to do whatever he wants it to do.
Dave Willis: Developer & Network Administrator
Dave came to Pongos with an extensive background in network operations. He uses that experience to help our clients manage their web servers and other internet-related systems. He is also a graduate and former instructor at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, where he taught Television Technology, Radio Technology and audio/video production. Dave got into web design and development in 1998. He has used his skills in web programming, graphic design, and A/V production to work with musicians, radio stations, and businesses to establish themselves on the Internet.
Therese Forbes: Director of Operations
Therese holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Psychology and a minor in Business from The University of South Carolina. Therese is responsible for day-to-day oversight of Pongos operations, developing requirements, coordinating activities within Pongos, and coordinating activities between Pongos and other networks. Her professional experience ranges from natural products manufacturer to web hosting and design. She is an activist for buying local, and is a member of the College Park Neighborhood Business Alliance. Therese is also community leader in developing educational school gardens to promote all aspects of hand-on education for the children and their families, as well as the Fundraising Officer of her local elementary school’s PTA.
Stacey Pearcy: Associate QA Tester & Curriculum Developer
Stacey started working at Pongos in 2010. She earned her BA in American Studies, a teaching certificate from UMBC, and a Masters in Reading from Loyola University. With her incredible attention to detail, Stacey was made for quality assurance testing, and her feedback enables our developers to improve their output. Stacey also uses her experience as an educator to help our subject matter experts create usable course materials to use in our classes.
Lisa Miles: Associate Developer
Lisa has been working for Pongos since 2008, when she became the company’s first employee. Since then she has used her skills with Drupal, Joomla, and WordPress to support our clients, while working on a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
London Rivers: Operations Assistant
London joined Pongos in August 2011. She earned her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Cornerstone Christian University in 2011. London used her degree and experience at a neighboring daycare and is now using her expertise to help keep our office in order. London supports the operations and development teams on a variety of administrative projects. She is responsible for the collection of marketing materials and assists with classes and event planning for the office.
